A placeholder note about starting with the idea, the cut, and the rhythm before opening a tool.
Start with the cut
Motion gets clearer when the intention is clear first. Before the keyframes, I want to know what the viewer should notice, understand, and feel.
The tool is only useful when it helps that idea arrive with less friction. A simple transition with the right timing is worth more than a complicated effect without a job.
Leave room for the idea
The best sequences usually have a little space around the important moment. Restraint gives the eye somewhere to land and makes the final beat feel intentional.
